Product Review: The Drain Claw By Bad Cat Solutions

As you can imagine, with five molting girls in the house drains can get a bit clogged.  Usually this means pulling out the S bend, water and muck everywhere or smelly chemicals.

The Drain Claw saved all that hassle and mess.  The simple design makes it easy and intuitive to use and affordable.

It wasn’t long ago that we cleaned the drains so I wasn’t expecting to find much but I was in for a surprise!

Over all it was very easy to use and very effective, I recommend it to anyone wanting to unblock drains quickly, cheaply and easily :)

Service Review: Cafe Melba on Hurstmere St

My brother took me out to lunch. He suggested this place that did a salad. Thinking I was hungry, I protested, and eventually agreed.

Upon arriving, we were seated outside, and given menu’s. We ordered drinks.

Within a few minutes we received a cold glass, and diet Coke, and an Angry Birds Mocha. Oh wow, talk about impressed!

Looking through the menu my brother suggested trying the Honey & Garlic Chicken Salad with apple, cashew nuts, avocado, tomato, garlic aioli & balsamic dressing. Oh it sounded devine.

Not long after, we received our meals. Oh gosh. It was simply to die for. I cannot explain the way my tastebuds exploded in my mouth!

The service was immaculate, every staff member was smiling and happy, keen to help you in any way possible.

The presentation was suberb, everything better than it had to be to be good.

The taste was just fantastic, beyond anything I’ve ever tasted before. Yes, it was just a salad, but I will never again think a salad would not fill me up.

I highly recommend this place, from the location, to the staff, to the food. 10/10

Book Review: The Swiss Cheese Theory of life

Judy Belmont writes: “The book is written by myself and another psychotherapist and we each have over 30 years of experience so that it is full of information delivered in a very whimsical way.”

This book is written in a simple to read format, with bright colours, and cheerful characters to make the way easy, while at the same time, providing enough thought provoking ideas to make sense!

It is a fun book to read, providing real day-to-day issues that we may have, and suggesting ways to take it ‘one slice at a time’.

The cheese metaphor is used throughout the book, in a fun way, making it easy to take in good information quickly.

  • Life has holes in it, but we don’t criticise cheese for having holes. Holes make the cheese what it is.
  • Fondue can never turn back into a block of cheese. Give up the habit of looking back with regret.

Psychotherapists and wellness speakers Judy Belmont and co-author Lora Shor offer videos, self-tests, and book information on their website, http://www.theswisscheesetheoryoflife.com, where you can download the first two chapters of their book.
