"the state of forgetfulness or absent-mindedness experienced by mums"

Meltdown

Wow. We had a meltdown moment today. Declan woke from his nap, crying for mummy, and proceeded to keep crying for about an hour. He wouldn’t leave my lap, just cried and cried. Saffron was needing a feed, and was crying, but I had to focus on Declan for a while. I tried to distract him with a bath, while Mr David dealt with Saffron, but that didn’t work, he wouldn’t stop cuddling me from the side of the bath. I was in tears at this point, as poor Saffron really needed a feed now, and was screaming.

Finally Mr David sidetracked him by taking him outside to paint, and Declan finally calmed down, so I was able to feed Saffron.

Wow. I knew this would be tough, but man, this afternoon was really unpleasant.
